Selling more is relatively simple. You can either increase how much you sell to your current customers, increase the number of total customers you have by adding new customers or do both.

When you communicate regularly with your existing customers, you remain on their radar both for their future purchases and for their  referrals future purchases. 

When you communicate regularly with new potential customers, you remain on their radar throughout the entire purchase process. Communicating early - before the need has been established, creating a desire for your product/service and then thru to discovery & research and ultimately purchase consideration makes your business the most likely to be chosen.
